The Effects Explained...

Crackle Glazing

The use of crackle glazing creates a dramatic two colour aged effect and is ideal for livening up your furnishings or wall boarders. A base coat colour is first laid down before applying the topcoat colour that has been mixed with the crackle glaze. The crackle glaze forces the top layer to crack and reveal areas of the base coat colour.

Dragging

Dragging is a method used which adds a grain-like effect to the surface it is applied to. Whilst the paint is wet a 'Hog Softner' brush is literally dragged over the surface to reveal lines of the colour beneath. This is another perfect effect to use instead of decorative wallpapers.

Plaster Effect

The plaster paint effect is ideal for enhancing a trompe l'oel / mural, or to simply add character to a room or exterior wall. Using specialised paint techniques this effect can be used in creating all kinds of aged and weathered effects.

Wood Grain

The ideal way to give a flat surface a beautiful wood grained effect. This effect is created by dragging a specialized double graining rocker over the surface of the wet paint.

Marbling

Marbling can leave a beautiful finish to any surface in the home; using specialised techniques, this faux finish will add a serious element of class!
